Kevin Locke, Renowned Native American Hoop Dancer

Visited the RVES April 12-15, 1999

Kevin Locke came and visited the classrooms of the Round Valley Elementary School, teaching and inspiring kids to stay in school, get a good education, and stay drug-free. He put on shows for different groups and classes and got everyone involved with the activities. He got everyone to act as one instead of individuals.

"Throughout the week, Kevin Locke worked with different groups. Then we had a community Pot Luck which turned out nice. There was lots of community participation from different organizations, and it all came together as friendship dance for the whole community. We value the participation from our local tribes in all of our drug-free programs, and getting Kevin to come up and perform was an inspiration. "
