Susan's Poems:

Snow's Gentle Fall

I miss it most of all

Oh the snow's gentle fall

This land is so dry with no snow

I fear even the rains soon will go

Then nothing here will grow.

I miss it most of all

Oh the snows gentle fall

Snow will turn the black of night to snowy light

Oh to walk at mornings first light

After the snow has fallen in the dead of night

Gently, softly falling, blanketing the earth in

Sparkling white.

No bare earth or man's garbage will or can

pierce the brilliant white.

Oh just to sit and watch the snow fall

Tis like the fairy's dance so small

It gently drifts to and fro

At the wind's gentle blow

Look at the snow drift down

It floats like goose down to cover the ground.

Oh down come the snow to hide it all

Now that is what I miss most of all

Tis the snow's gentle fall.
